 Harry W. Palmer

of Elmont at the age of 90, on Dec 10. 

 Beloved husband of Cecile (Levesque). Loving father of Michele Carlson [Arthur], Kevin, Peter, Jeannine Riehl, Harold[Mechele], Nicole Gerace.  Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister Arlene Dowling.  Predeceased by daughter Denise, granddaughter Sharon and brother Arthur. Valedictorian of Woodmere High School 1939. Served in WWII in China Burma India as  Army Ranger "Merrill's Marauders" Bronze Star recipient. Retired from New York Telephone in 1985 after many years. Former Captain Elmont Fire Dept.  Member Knight of Columbus Alfred E. Smith Council. Volunteer St Vincent De Paul Outreach. Reposing Elmont Funeral Home 1529 Hempstead Turnpike Elmont NY Monday 2-5, 7-9. Mass Tues 9:30am St. Vincent de Paul RCC, Interment Holy Rood Cemetery Westbury, NY. In lieu of flowers, family request donations to www.nationallungcancerpartnership.org.

Adored grandfather of Hannah and Alexander Cheney, Stephan, Samantha and
Sarah Sitowitz and Ryan and Sean Katz.
Cherished brother of Roberta Barron and Kathie Yuz.
Loyal master to his best friend Buddy.
Pre-deceased by his wife Helen.
Never was a man as loved, honored and respected.
As per his wishes, memorial donations in his honor can be made to the American
